Hubert welcomed committee
Â
Ali – people who pick up heavy things like chalk, we have run out of chalk. £6.25 for a block, Ali want £12.50 for two blocks to keep one in reserve. Ste asks if it can be ordinary expenditure. Need it every couple of terms. No one objects and the money passes.
Â
Felix – want money to buy snacks and run a film, date to be confirmed. How much? £15, Felix wants to review the recycling in the JCR and by having this film people will listen to a very exciting announcement about recycling at the same time. No objections and the motion passes.
Â
Nicky - £50 was passed last committee lunch for purchasing disposable cameras for the project. 39 people now want to get involved, which is more than they can afford. Disposable cameras cost between 5 and 7 pounds. Zack notes this is the difference between a quarter of the people getting a camera and a half. How will you choose which people? Ballot with some tweaking to make it evenly distributed through year groups. Freddy suggests that if this needs more money in the future then it must go through a GM. No objections and the motion passes.

Laura reports Hamish wanted to let committee know that two games have been stolen. Fifa 17 and mortal combat. Two non college people were seen in there and we're aware that they were asked to leave. She's now asking for £40 to replace Fifa. Ele asks if we already have Fifa 16 and they're the same game with new names. Izzy notes that there is a new and exciting feature in 17 which they absolutely cannot live without. Hubert asks if we're sure sure it's lost. Also the safe is broken. They have looked for genuinely hours. 'They play Fifa all the time'. Zack says we should pass it on the condition that we wait a few days to be sure that it really is lost. Hubert asks if we want this? How many days – 2? Will they survive that long without Fifa. They can play the old ones to get them through.
Â
Zack says Andrew has noticed there are no oven gloves in the kitchens. There are four kitchens. He doesn't know how much they cost, but they must be less than £10 each. Juliet asks if we want to do that for Jowett. This would cost a lot more as there are more kitchens and likely college wouldn't want to provide them. Zack notes that the kitchens are shared by many more people in mainsite than in Jowett sop it's harder for people to provide their own as they won't know everyone who would use them. Does every kitchen have an oven? No? Zack rephrases to buy oven gloves for every kitchen with an oven in it. No objections and the motion passes.
