Minutes

1. Matters arisingÂ
a) Reimbursement for Women’s Dinner Wine- Laura and Monique
We want to pass £50 retrospectively for the wine from the Women’s Dinner since it has been taken out of the MCR fund.Â
No objections, motion passes.Â
b) Women’s Event- Laura and MoniqueÂ
We want to pass up to £50 for a potential event in 9th week. We want to run an event for women, especially for those who couldn't go to the Women’s Dinner, like finalists, and provide snacks and Pimm’s on the grass.
Motion passes.Â
c) Piano Plaque reimbursement - RichardÂ
I donated the piano to the bar last year. It had been my grandparents’ for 49 years and I have recently bought a plaque acknowledging this. It was a gift so I would understand any objections but would like to pass £50 for its cost.Â
Motion passes.
d) Denise’s Birthday- LeahÂ
It is Denise’s birthday on the 27th of June and we would like to get her Debenham’s vouchers so would like to pass £22 for the cost of the vouchers and a card.Â
e) Go-pros- Hubert
The entirety of the tennis yearly budget has been spent on two go-pros but we would like to pass up to £40 for head mounts for them so that we can watch ourselves pay. We would be able to give them out to other sports and anyone who wants to use them, like the boat club and it would be pretty informal.Â
Motion passes.Â
2. AOB
a) Izzy
We previously passed up to £50 to borrow sound equipment for our access videos but the film society are kindly leading us the equipment and so we want to change the purpose of the money (will be less than £50) to buy a card and present for the society.Â
Passed.Â
b) Co-option of LGBTQ rep:
Beth said that the LGBTQ community in Balliol is very important to her and she would really like to be a part of it, especially helping the freshers settle in. She loves the sense of community and would really like to get involved in the brunch during freshers week. She would love to organise Balliol students going to event at other colleges as this can be intimidating and really get involved with the LGBTQ community at Balliol.Â
Beth is duly co-opted.Â
