Minutes
- Matters Arising
- Termly reports -Â GW thanked everyone for termly reports and handed round chocolate.
- JdeB - AH congratulated the JdeB on their inspiring work on the new format of the JdeB.
- Charity Donation box [Rivka]
- RM said that she had a charity box which is better than giving on the streets. Where should she put it? Could go in JCR, by Pantry. CT suggested by the vending machines. AC said she was going to start encouraging donations to a Syrian charity by selling baclava at Pantry. Also AC said that putting a collecting box in the JCR had worked well before
- Jowett bikes [Dan]
- DT said that they were doing a cull of bikes in Jowett. They would like D&M to help unlock the spare bikes, and put them under the OCR for the next bike sale. CT said that we should put this in an email so that everyone knows what’s happening.
- Charity Musical Funds [Claudia]
- CF said that ticket sales are for charity. They’ve got £250 from the drama funds. Last year Helen passed £100 in a GM but CF just wants another £50 for costumes and props. JM asked why more money couldn’t come from the Drama Fund. CF said that only money from the levy could go on the musical. The money was passed.
- Online welfare things [Anna]
- AH said that it might be good to have an anonymous forum on the website for people to talk about mental welfare. She would like to be able to monitor each post. She said that she would probably need to talk to RM about how this would work on the new website.
- TV room [Anna]
- AH thinks the TV room needs to be sorted out but could be a nice room. If we could buy some new chairs, and sort it out that would be great. AC said that the table tennis table that is being given to the JCR for free by BNY Mello is going to go in the TV room. AS said that we could outsource this to anyone not in the committee to do this. Matt Lynch agreed to lead the TV room reform working group.
- New website [Richard]
- RM is making a new website and would like people to reply to his email with suggestions and text. IR made a suggestion that you could pick a subject and then see your subject parents and lots of information. DT pushed for a term card so that we can see when events are. AH pointed out that it would be most useful if it was updatable.
- AOB
- AB encouraged people to not send gender-binary emails that excluded certain members of the JCR.
- XC is going to bring a motion to a GM to give money to Exeter to help them with cooking alternative food during the hall boycott.
- We would like the D&M to fix the projector, table tops and broken bench.
