Fourth week this term was the first week to make more than this time last year. 6th week is looking good, and battled things (such as summer 8s) are now coming in which has helped takings. Sports nights (Thursdays) continue to do well. Duncan raised the suggestion that people be encouraged to buy rounds – such as 10p discount per pint if you buy four or more pints. The little door on the side of the bar has just broken. AM needs to talk to College managerial staff about advertising.
MD pointed out the importance of comparing to the previous five year average, rather than just last year. AM said that the next Lord Lindsey will have to analyse all the data carefully and possibly get rid of one of the ales.
DT has submitted a bid for some of College’s annual capital to redecorate the bar and make the loos accessible and transgender.

Pantry
Pantry is down by about £100 this term. Income is healthy – we are up about 10% on Michaelmas last term, and last trinity. There are lots of people coming through but buying cheaper orders – possible an effect of the veggie pledge? Food costs have been consistent apart from first term. Formal pantry has sold out of tickets at £17.50 – they are planning on spending more this year and making a slightly smaller profit. The Dean and the Chaplain are going to be invited to the champagne reception beforehand. The Dean has passed  having three quarters of a bottle of wine per person.
We discussed staffing issues.
MD suggested that the Foodies food train a few more people (equivalent to the Duckworths in the bar) who could run Pantry buy themselves.

Treasure
MD said that his job finished a few weeks ago. We are fervently hoping that someone runs to be the next Treasurer.
